This Coca Cola Chicken is a simple yet flavorful dish made with tender chicken breasts, barbecue sauce, and a hint of Coca Cola, making it ideal for quick dinners or comfort food cravings.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (we like Sweet Baby Ray's or Stubb's)
  • 1 white onion (sliced or sweet yellow onion)
  • 0.7 oz. Italian dressing mix (I use Good Seasons brand)
  • 12 oz. Coca Cola

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Evenly sprinkle the Italian dressing mix over the chicken.
  3. Layer the sliced white onion on top of the chicken.
  4. Drizzle the barbecue sauce over the chicken and onions.
  5. Pour the Coca Cola on top of the mixture.
  6. Set the slow cooker to LOW and cook for 7-8 hours.
  7. Once cooked, shred the chicken and serve on buns or as desired.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the barbecue sauce to your taste.
Serve with coleslaw or a side salad for a complete meal.
This dish also works well with sweet yellow onions for added flavor.
