- 3 lbs. sirloin
- 2–3 tbsp. cooking oil
- ½ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. black pepper
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ tsp. red chili flakes
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- ¼ cup salted butter
Instructions
- Cut the sirloin into bite-sized pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red chili flakes.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sirloin and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes.
- Pour the honey mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in cornstarch mixed with a little water for thickening, if desired.
- Add butter to the skillet and stir until melted and mixed well.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the steak bites in the honey mixture for a couple of hours before cooking.
Adjust the level of red chili flakes to suit your spice preference.
Serve the steak bites warm, paired with rice or noodles.
