Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. sirloin
  • 23 tbsp. cooking oil
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp. red chili flakes
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • ¼ cup salted butter

Instructions

  1. Cut the sirloin into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red chili flakes.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the sirloin and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Pour the honey mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in cornstarch mixed with a little water for thickening, if desired.
  7. Add butter to the skillet and stir until melted and mixed well.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the steak bites in the honey mixture for a couple of hours before cooking.
Adjust the level of red chili flakes to suit your spice preference.
Serve the steak bites warm, paired with rice or noodles.
