- 2 lb. boneless pork chops (about 4–5 chops)
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1 large sweet yellow onion (sliced)
- 1/3 cup salted butter (sliced)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and coat the bottom with cooking oil.
- Brown the pork chops on both sides; they do not need to be cooked through.
- In the slow cooker, mix Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
- Add the browned pork chops into the slow cooker, followed by sliced onions and butter.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours without opening the lid.
- Serve and enjoy.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the pork chops in Worcestershire sauce prior to cooking.
Feel free to substitute with other vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for variety.
