Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 16.3 ounce can flaky biscuits
- 1 cup apple cider
Instructions
- Prepare a tray with parchment paper or place a wire rack to hold the finished donuts.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, then set aside.
- Pour the apple cider into a small saucepan and simmer over medium-high heat until slightly reduced. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Open the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Use a small round object to cut out the centers to form donuts.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or lightly spritz with oil.
- Place four donuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch each other.
- Air fry at 350°F for 3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Transfer the cooked donuts to the parchment-lined tray or wire rack and repeat with the remaining dough.
- While still warm, brush each donut with the reduced apple cider, then coat in the cinnamon sugar mixture to finish.
Notes
Store any leftover donuts in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
For a twist, try adding vanilla to the dough mixture for extra flavor.
These donuts are best enjoyed fresh out of the air fryer.
