- 1 cup diced apples
- 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup 2% blended cottage cheese
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon almond milk, plain, unsweetened
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375℉.
- In a bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon, tossing to coat the apple pieces.
- Gradually mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
- Add the blended cottage cheese and stir until a dough begins to form, then knead lightly.
- On a floured surface, turn out the dough and cut it into 4 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into fritters and place them on parchment paper, pressing them into a round shape.
- Air fry the fritters at 375℉ for 4 minutes, flip, and continue cooking for an additional 4 minutes until golden.
- While frying, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and almond milk.
- Dip the cooked fritters in the glaze and place on a wire rack to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure the air fryer is preheated for best results.
Use any variety of apples for different flavors in the fritters.
Adjust the glaze consistency using more or less almond milk as needed.
