- 1½ cups apple cider
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Whisk together.
- In another bowl, mix apple cider, sugar, buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the apple cider mixture into the flour mixture and whisk until smooth.
- Fill each greased donut mold about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 7-9 minutes until golden brown and springy to the touch.
- Let the donuts cool for 2 minutes before removing from the molds onto a tray.
- Blend sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Brush warm donuts with melted butter and dip in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
