- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
- Unfold thawed sheets of puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface and roll out gently to even the creases.
- Brush half of the melted butter onto each puff pastry sheet and sprinkle with half of the garlic salt, cheddar cheese, and parmesan cheese.
- Cut the puff pastry into 3/4 inch wide strips using a pizza cutter, twist each strip, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water, then brush this mixture over the twists.
- Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until puffed and golden brown, then remove and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or oregano to the cheese mixture.
Serve with marinara or ranch dressing for dipping.
These twists can be made ahead of time and reheated in the oven.
