- ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Arrange the chicken breasts in a baking dish and season generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and fresh basil.
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the cream mixture and fold gently to combine.
- Spoon the mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well covered.
- Bake the chicken for 30-40 minutes until no longer pink inside, depending on thickness.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the top and broil for 4-5 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with extra basil before serving.
Notes
The cream cheese can be softened quickly by microwaving in 30-second intervals.
Adjust seasonings to your preference for a more flavorful dish.
