  • Total Time: 0 hours
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 26 oz. frozen meatballs
  • ½ cup honey
  • ⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp. ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. cold water
  • sesame seeds
  • sliced green onions or fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ground ginger, and crushed red pepper flakes in a medium bowl.
  2. Place frozen meatballs in the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the meatballs and stir gently to coat evenly.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours until meatballs are heated through.
  5. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl until smooth. Stir into the sauce in the slow cooker and cook for an additional 30 minutes on high until the sauce thickens.
  6. Stir the sauce to ensure meatballs are well coated after thickening.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds, sliced green onions, or parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try using freshly grated ginger instead of ground ginger.
Feel free to adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes to suit your spice preference.
These meatballs pair nicely with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
