Ingredients
Scale
- 2½ pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 2 teaspoons herb and garlic seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- ¾ cup thick bbq sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Place chicken thighs in an even layer in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle herb and garlic seasoning, salt, and black pepper over the chicken.
- Pour chicken broth around the edges of the slow cooker, avoiding the seasoning directly.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2½-3 hours until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- About 30 minutes before serving, remove excess liquid if necessary and pour the BBQ sauce over the chicken, drizzling with apple cider vinegar.
- Cover and continue cooking until the sauce is heated through and coats the chicken well.
- Serve the chicken whole or shredded, topped with extra sauce if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken thighs in BBQ sauce overnight before cooking.
Adjust the amount of salt based on your BBQ sauce’s saltiness for best results.
Feel free to add your favorite veggies to the slow cooker for a complete meal.
