These Matcha Brownies are a delightful treat, combining rich flavors of white chocolate and matcha in an easy-to-make dessert. Ideal for gatherings or quiet evenings at home, these homemade brownies are sure to impress any dessert lover!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter (1/2 cup + 2 tbsp)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and white chocolate chips until smooth. Stir in matcha powder until fully incorporated. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and kosher salt.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
  5. Fold in the flour just until no streaks remain.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Evenly drizzle the slightly cooled matcha ganache over the top.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until the edges are set and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use higher quality white chocolate.
Make sure the butter and chocolate mixture isn’t too hot when adding eggs to prevent them from scrambling.
These brownies can be topped with whipped cream or served with vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
