Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups fresh peach slices, peeled
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- pinch of salt
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until the sugar melts.
- Pour the melted butter into the bottom of the prepared baking dish without stirring it in.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth. Pour this mixture into the pan over the butter, leaving it unstirred.
- Spoon the peaches evenly over the batter, allowing some juice to mix in. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Bake the cobbler in the preheated oven for 38-42 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.
- Allow it to cool slightly before serving warm, ideally with vanilla ice cream.
