- ¼ tsp. black pepper
- 2 oz. beef gravy mix
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 2 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 ¼ cups water
- 1 shallot, diced
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- ½ cup sour cream
Instructions
- Place the beef stew meat in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the gravy mix and seasonings over the meat. Add the tomato paste, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic.
- Add the diced shallots and sliced mushrooms, then pour in the water. Stir to combine, ensuring the tomato paste and Dijon mustard blend with the gravy.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours.
- Once cooked, stir in the sour cream and serve.
Notes
For added flavor, you can sear the beef before adding it to the slow cooker.
Serve with rice or fresh bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
Adjust seasoning to your taste, especially if you prefer a spicier dish.
