Ingredients

  • 48 oz Pasta Sauce or Marinara
  • 1 ½ lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • ½ tsp. oregano
  • 1 lb. penne pasta
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in a slow cooker and season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Pour pasta sauce over the chicken.
  2. Set the slow cooker to HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 6-8 hours without lifting the lid.
  3. After cooking time, prepare penne pasta according to its package directions on the stove.
  4. Shred the cooked chicken in the slow cooker using two forks.
  5. Drain the penne pasta well, then add it to the slow cooker with the shredded chicken and sauce. Stir to combine and spread evenly.
  6. Top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, cover, and let sit for 15 minutes or until cheese melts.

Notes

For a healthier version, use whole wheat pasta.
