Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless pork chops ¾-1 inch thick
- 1 medium onion sliced into thick rings
- 1 packet ranch seasoning or 3 tablespoons homemade ranch seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 garlic clove finely minced (or 1 teaspoon jarred)
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried chives
Instructions
- Mix softened butter with garlic, parsley, and chives in a small bowl and refrigerate until needed.
- Layer the onion slices at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place the pork chops on top of the onion slices.
- Sprinkle ranch seasoning and salt evenly over the pork chops.
- Pour chicken broth around the edges of the slow cooker, avoiding direct contact with the pork chops to keep the seasoning intact.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours for optimal texture.
- In the last 5-10 minutes of cooking, add the ranch herb butter on top of the pork chops to melt and enhance the flavor.
- Mix the onions into the jus, then serve over the pork chops.
Notes
For added flavor, use homemade ranch seasoning instead of a packet.
Adjust the cooking time based on your slow cooker model; some may cook faster than others.
Serve with your choice of sides like mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
